Dogs

Kipper — Border Collie

Our first dog. He lived an adventurous life in Colorado, Vermont, and later years in California — he loved mountain biking, road trips, and backcountry skiing with us.

Kita — Malamute/Husky mix

Joined the family shortly after Kipper. Our wild child, and a rescue — she enjoyed the same free life in the outdoors. Her exact breed remains a running argument: malamute owners insist she's a malamute, husky owners insist she's a husky, and nobody's budging.

Gretal — German Shepherd/Lab/Border Collie mix

Adopted too — she lived her early weeks and months on the dusty streets of Modesto before joining the family. She enjoys barking her head off, short-to-medium walks and hikes, and a good couch hang.
